PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent feeling of discomfort when contacting with a human body by temperature increase of an upper face part of a casing due to heat generation of a display panel, in a flat-type display apparatus. SOLUTION: In the flat-type display apparatus, when temperature of an upper face wall face of the casing becomes a prescribed value or above, a heat storage body is thermally connected to a chassis member for a prescribed time to store heat, a ventilation opening part for exhaust in an upper face wall of the casing is opened to allow the exhaust, thereafter a thermal connection state with the chassis member is released for a prescribed time to radiate the heat, the ventilation opening part for the exhaust in the upper face wall of the casing is closed, and the exhaust is performed through a ventilation opening part for the exhaust in a rear face wall. The heat storage body moves every prescribed time to repeat the heat storage and the heat radiation during operation of the flat-type display apparatus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
