PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems: each small protrusion is weak against a pushing force from above in the case of roofing which is equipped with air permeability by extrusion-molding the many small protrusions on a sheet base material and forming an air hole in each of the small protrusions; and there is the risk that intruding rainwater may partially intrude below the roofing through the air hole. SOLUTION: In this roofing, the many small protrusions 2, which are extrusion-molded on one side at short longitudinal and lateral intervals, are formed on the sheet base material 1 with waterproofness, and the minute vent hole 3 is formed near the center of each of the small protrusions 2. A water absorbing polymer 10 is filled into the internal dead space 2a of each of the small protrusions 2, and a thin air-permeable sheet 11 is stuck on the undersurface of the sheet base material 1, so that the water absorbing polymer 10 can be sealed into the internal dead space 2a. Thus, the reinforcing function of the small protrusion 2 and the function of absorbing the rainwater intruding from the vent hole 3 are simultaneously provided by the water absorbing polymer 10.
