PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for feeding paper sheets to a processing machine which dispenses with a large required space and an expensive input cost, and to provide a method for feeding bar-like or a bundle shape of the paper sheets to the device. SOLUTION: The device 1 for feeding the paper sheets 4 such as paper, and cardboard to the paper separating device 2 of the processing machine is provided with a paper stacking table with a transport device 16. The paper stacking table is provided with a fixed part 10 and a part 11 oscillable with a rotary shaft S as a center. The transport device 16 feeds the paper sheet 4 erected with its one side directed downward to the paper separating device 2. The oscillable part 11 of the paper stacking table can be oscillated to a lower position which is lower than an upper position forming substantially one flat surface, together with the fixed part 10 of the stacking table by oscillation movement a.
