PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper device capable of accurately detecting the state of a contact face wiped out by the reciprocating movement of a wiper blade. SOLUTION: In the state of the reciprocating movement of the wire blade 16, a variation pattern is detected which shows the variation state of a load of a motor in a predetermined range excluding a certain range from a reversed position where the moving direction of the wiper blade 16 is reversed.
