<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing roller designed such that a toner characteristic flying from the developing roller to a photoreceptor is excellent despite a reduction in the diameter of toner particles, and also to provide a developing device having this developing roller, and an image forming apparatus having this developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing roller includes: a tubular or cylindrical substrate 302; and a surface layer 303 formed on the circumferential face of the substrate 302 and containing metal 303a and inorganic fine particles 303b of metal oxide as its main constituent. Fine recesses and projections are formed on the face of the surface layer 303, which is opposite the substrate 302, by the inorganic fine particles 303b so that toner T is carried while the area of contact between them is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
