<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device in which the thickness of a light guide plate is made thin to make it compact even with a structure wherein a cut-out part is formed at the end part of the light guide plate and a light-emitting element is housed inside to solve appearance of linear dark spot, and which can radiate heat efficiently even with a simple structure while increasing mounting density of the light-emitting element, and has no abnormal luminescent point near the light-emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting element 2 of which an optical axis 2a is arranged in parallel to the bottom face 2b of the light-emitting element 2 is housed inside a cut-out part 3 provided at the end part of the light guide plate 1 by arranging its optical axis 2a in parallel to the surface direction of the light guide plate 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
