<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a microorganism carrier promoting the adhesion of microorganisms while keeping the biological activity of the microorganism to be carried. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a microorganism carrier comprises coating a surface of a substrate formed of at least one kind of substance selected from the group consisting of metals, ceramics and glass with an extracellular polymer formed by a microorganism forming an extracellular polymer.
