<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a startup characteristic to be improved by heightening a drying effect when a drying operation by a heat pump is started, and to ensure that the reliability of the heat pump is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The clothing drying machine is provided with means (first switching valve 22 and second switching valve 23) to prohibit a refrigerant from being delivered from the compressor 18 to an evaporator 16 and from a condenser 17 to the evaporator 16 when a command to stop the compressor 18 of the heat pump 20 occurs. Consequently the refrigerant is not delivered from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side during the stop of the heat pump 20 and the amount of the effective refrigerant from the condenser 17 to the evaporator 16 increases when the heat pump is restarted. Thus the drying effect can be improved when the drying operation is started. When the machine is restarted, the liquid refrigerant is less sucked from the evaporator 16 to the compressor 18 and ceases to cause damage to the compressor 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
