PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt drive type movable body capable of broadening the allowable range of the alignment of a driving pulley and idler pulleys. SOLUTION: This belt drive type movable body is provided with the toothed driving pulley and idler pulleys 13A, 13B supported in a lower frame 4 travelling on a travel rail, and a toothed travel belt 3 is wound around the driving pulley and idler pulleys 13A, 13B. The idler pulleys 13A, 13B guide the travel belt 3 toward the driving pulley on both of the front and rear sides of the driving pulley. Moreover, it is provided with a pair of guide rollers 18 restricting the travel belt 3 relative to the width direction on the front side of the idler pulley 13A, and a pair of guide rollers 19 restricting the travel belt 3 in the width direction on the rear side of the idler pulley 13B.
