PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectrophotometer which can install/use, in the same manner as usual, a sample chamber unit which has a different holding mechanism from a sample chamber unit installed/used standardly in spectrophotometers. SOLUTION: B type sample chamber unit can be installed/used by attaching an adapter equipped with the holding mechanism of B type sample chamber unit to the inside of the sample chamber of the spectrometer which installs/uses A type sample chamber unit standardly. Furthermore, the entry of outdoor daylight, when installed, is prevented by intentionally adding dimensionally overlapped parts between the adapter and B type sample chamber unit, and the adapter and a component inside the spectrophotometer.
