#CMT# #/CMT# The supply unit (V) has a controller (R) pre-setting a value that represents primary current in a primary coil of a transformer (Tr10), where the primary current through the primary coil is measured by a voltage transformer (H10). A comparator (C) compares the value with another value which represents the primary current flowing through the primary coil. A circuit logic (S) converts the comparison result into an adjusting signal to a controlled logic element (SW10). The latter value of the primary current depends on primary voltage at an input of the transformer. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Power supply unit for a gas-discharge lamp that is utilized in a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The value of the primary current measured by the voltage transformer depends on the primary voltage at the input of the transformer, thus adjusting the delay of signal processing in the circuit logic, and hence providing an accurate design of the transformer, without any occurrence of risk of saturation of the transformer during operation. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a block diagram of a power supply unit.
