Ventilation components for the toilet and a toilet ventilation system is provided according to the invention. The components comprise: A novel pad gasket to be placed i n between the toilet tank and the lid to provide a good seal. Air outlet adapters that allow for mounting in the pad and/or various locations about the tank will provide the path for evacuation. An air/odor filtration/supression unit will process the evacuate d air. The fan unit will be responsible for drawing the air from the bowl. Various fan adapters to modify traditional bathroom fans to allow them to be used as evacuation unit s as an economic alternative will be provided. An air flow intensity controller with exhaust tubing/piping will be provided for variable air flow adjustments.
