<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which prevents the occurrence of faulty charging property of a photoreceptor at the time of resuming operation after a stoppage of image formation, and which stably gives a high-quality image with less image density unevenness, in relation to an image forming apparatus including an organic photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: a photoreceptor 40; a discharge type charger 41; a latent image forming means 42; a developing means 43; and a transfer means 45. The photoreceptor 40 has a structure obtained by sequentially stacking a charge generating layer, a charge transport layer and a crosslinked charge transport layer on a support. The crosslinked charge transport layer is formed by polymerizing a monomer having three or more radical polymerizable functional groups having no charge transporting structure, and a monomer having one radical polymerizable functional group having a charge transporting structure, and an openable and closable shutter 63 is located between the discharge type charger 41 and the photoreceptor 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
