PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser holder that can hold a frame-type semiconductor laser so that laser light can be accurately emitted without causing deformation or breakage and failing heat dissipation. SOLUTION: An upper holder member 52 approaches to a lower holder member 51 thanks to the restoring force of a supporting section 53, and the lower surface of a retaining part 521 presses down a projecting part 412 for heat dissipation of a frame 41 engaged with an engaging recessed part 511, thus holding a frame-type laser light source 4.
