PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter for a toilet room allowing the aged or handicapped persons to easily use toilet paper by freely movably and turnably suspending a toilet paper holder on a counter. SOLUTION: The counter A for a toilet room is installed in the toilet room along a wall. A wooden crosspiece is fixed to the back surface of the counter. A guide rail 3 is installed in a lower surface 21 of a wooden crosspiece part 2 in a depressed manner along a length direction so that the toilet paper holder 5 is freely slidably suspended by the guide rail 3. Preferably, a guide 4 projected above the toilet paper holder 5 is freely slidably and loosely fitted to the guide rail 3, and the guide 4 is turnably connected to the body of the toilet paper holder 5 through a universal joint 6.
