PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of preventing unstable control of a suction nozzle motor or an operation part caused by electric noise, etc. generated from the operation of the suction nozzle motor. SOLUTION: A suction nozzle body 5 has the suction nozzle motor 13 for rotating a rotary cleaner body 18, and an announcement part 20 for detecting the amount of dust collected. These suction nozzle motor 1 and announcement part 20 are operated with a suction nozzle power supply part 48 as a power source. Voltage rectified by a rectification part 48a is fed to the suction nozzle body power supply part 48 from a cleaner body 1 via power lines 14 and 16. The voltage is controlled by a body control part 37 disposed in the cleaner body 1. A signal detection part 54 disposed on the primary side of the rectification part 48a detects signals from the rectified voltage, and a suction nozzle control part 50 controls the suction nozzle motor 13 and the announcement part 20 based on the detected signals.
