A dividing wall distillation column (14) is in fluid communication with the transalkylation effluent conduit (12), the alkylation effluent conduit (10), a product stream (32), a bottoms stream conduit (34) and first (8) and second (20) benzene recycle conduits. A polyalkylbenzene fractionation column (40) is connected to the bottoms stream conduit (34), the polyalkylbenzene recycle conduit (42, 43) and a heavy component conduit (44).
