A lamp and a display device having the same are provided to improve the brightness of the lamp thereby improving display quality. A lamp of a display device comprises a transparent glass tube(120), an inner electrode(140), and an outer electrode(130). Discharging space is formed in the transparent glass tube. Inside of the glass tube, inactive discharge gas is filled. The inner electrode of anode, and cathode are formed at each ends of the glass tube. The outer electrode applies electric field to the inner electrode. |
