A method for preparing sulfur is provided to remove the toxic component of sulfur, thereby allowing the resistance of domestic animals against diseases to be increased. A method for preparing sulfur comprises the steps of applying weak current to the purified water and irradiating far infrared rays to it to make the activated water; mixing the activated water and natural sulfur; mixing the obtained mixture with granular elvan to allow it to be matured with the irradiation of far infrared rays radiated from the elvan; and separating sulfur from the matured mixture.
