<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a divided wavelength plate filter which is excellent in pattern precision, uniform thickness and in-plane uniformity so as to accurately cope with the pixel portion of a stereoscopic image display device and is high in reproducibility and mass productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the divided wavelength plate filter includes a process for printing a material layer 9 serving as a divided wavelength plate 208 with a predetermined division pattern with a double refraction liquid crystal polymer and a process for orientation-processing the double refraction liquid crystal polymer layer. In the orientation processing, rubbing against an oriented film 8 is performed and the double refraction liquid crystal polymer layer 9 is printed with a division pattern on the oriented film 8 and further, thermally processed. Thus, the divided wavelength plate 208 excellent in uniform thickness, in-plane uniformity and reproducibility can be highly accurately manufactured by a method excellent in mass productivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
