PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an electric power steering device capable of certainly reducing hitting noise at a rack end in any road surface circumstances and vehicles. SOLUTION: In the control device for the electric power steering device in which a current instruction value of a motor for giving steering auxiliary force to a steering mechanism is operated based on steering torque and a vehicle speed and the motor is driven/controlled by feedback control, the output of the motor is restricted or the output is performed oppositely to the steering torque at near rack end.
