PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a liquid crystal display device for improving image quality, and to provide the liquid crystal display device using this driving method. SOLUTION: One frame period is divided into n (n is an integer of n≥3) number of periods (hereinafter referred to as a subframe period). That is, driving is performed at a frequency of≥180 Hz. Furthermore, a voltage is applied to a liquid crystal so as to compensate for a loss in luminance resulting from a response speed of the liquid crystal.
