PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously realize (1) prevention of defect where a thread jumps up and down on a contact surface of a wax body, (2) eliminating the need for cutting off the thread or break of winding upon replacement of the wax bodies, and (3) exposing the contact surface of the thread on the front side of a textile machinery. SOLUTION: This waxing device 100 is provided with a spacer 30 for receiving the wax body 10 by the contact surface 10c and positioning it in the axial direction A of the wax body 10, a receiving plate 50 for receiving a supporting surface 10d in a rotation-disabled manner around the axial direction A; a case 60 for supporting the receiving plate 50 freely movably in the axial direction A and undisplaceably in the radial direction of the wax body 10; a spring 70 for pressing the receiving plate 50 to the spacer 30 side, relative to the case 60 and making the receiving plate 50 in a rotation-disabled manner about the axial direction A, relative to the case 60, a case receiver 80, engaged in the case 60 unrotatably around the axial direction A, and a motor 90 for rotating the case receiver 80 around the axial direction A.
