PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine which does not cause poor molding such as a burnt or discolored resin by determining whether the heat generated in or given to the cylinder device including the heating cylinder, the injection nozzle, the water-cooling cylinder comes from a heater or from self-heating caused by shearing. SOLUTION: The injection molding machine comprises first temperature sensors 71a-75a which sense the temperatures of the bore region of the cylinder device 10 and second temperature sensors 71b-75b which sense the temperatures of the outside surface region of the cylinder device 10, and further comprises an alarm part 40 as a monitor means for raising an alarm by calculating the temperature difference between the first and second temperature sensors based on the results to be measured, and determining that the temperature of the cylinder device 10 is not depending on heating by a heater 15, but depending on self-heat generation of a resin material to be sheared, when the temperature difference is larger than a predetermined permitted value.
