<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display medium system capable of reducing the cost of a display medium and easily rewriting display contents in the display medium. <P>SOLUTION: The display medium system 100 comprises: the display medium 1 that displays an image on a display screen 10a; a controller 2 arranged movably and attachably/detachably to/from the display medium 1; and a server 3 for transmitting the image to the controller 2. A control IC provided on the display medium 1 is configured to detect the position of the controller 2 related to the display medium 1, and when the position detection information is transmitted from the control IC to the controller 2, a page is computed by the controller 2 based on the position detection information and the number of images stored in an image memory, and the image corresponding to the calculated page is read out from the image memory and transmitted to the display medium 1 by the controller 2.
