<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an automatic transmission possible to be miniaturized in the axial direction in comparison with the conventional structures. <P>SOLUTION: This automatic transmission comprises a planetary gear set G3 having a carrier M1, multiple disc clutches L1 and L2 supported by a drum portion 25 and a hub portion 23, a clutch piston 27 for engaging the multiple disc clutches by pushing them, and a clutch oil pressure chamber 26, to which oil pressure for operating the clutch piston is supplied. The carrier and the hub portion are connected to each other, and the clutch piston and the clutch oil pressure chamber are arranged in the hub portion or a member connected to the hub portion, and the clutch piston is overlapped with a part which connects the carrier and the hub portion to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
