METHODS AND APPARATUS TO INDICATE IMPACT OF OBJECT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an art for suitably indicating the point of impact between two objects such as a club face of a golf club and a golf ball.

SOLUTION: An impact indicator 600 includes a substrate layer 620 and at least one thermochromic compound layer 630. The substrate layer 620 includes a first side 622 and a second side 624. The first side 622 is configured to engage a surface of a first object. The thermochromic compound layer overlays at least one portion of the second side 624 of the substrate layer 620 to generate at least one temporary mark associated with an impact to the surface of the first object by a second object. The thermochromic compound layer is in direct contact with the second object during the impact.
