PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document feed device with elastic pressers. SOLUTION: The automatic document feed device is used together with a business machine including a scanning module and a transparent substrate. The automatic document feed device includes a body, a bow-shaped plate and a plurality of elastic pressers. The bow-shaped plate is fixed to the body and has a plurality of projections and a plurality of apertures. The projections keep the state where they contact a surface of the transparent substrate in order to define a shape of an air gap between the bow-shaped plate and the transparent substrate through which a paper can be carried. The elastic presser has a first end connected with the bow-shaped plate and a second end which partially intrudes into the corresponding aperture. The elastic pressers are alternately arranged to press an object passing through the air gap toward the transparent substrate in order to scan an object area to be scanned by scanning lines of the scanning module with the area in close contact with the surface of the transparent substrate.
