PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a thermal head with a required quality even when a common electrode is formed by a screen printing technique. SOLUTION: A material in an electrically conductive paste to be used for a common electrode layer has three peaks in its particle size distribution. The ratio of the particle diameters of three peaks is 10:2:1, and in addition, the peak with the maximum diameter is in a range of 1.5-4.0μm. By using such the material as this having three peaks in the particle size distribution, the resistivity of the common electrode layer after calcination is decreased from 8.2 to 2.5μΩcm, to be approximately 30% of the case where the peak of the particle size distribution counts one.
