PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning processing method capable of suppressing "chattering and vibration," preventing deterioration of finishing accuracy of a processed surface and having high versatility. SOLUTION: To prevent overlapping of a current turning position by a cutting tool 5 with a turning trace remaining on a workpiece 4 turning surface by turning before one rotation of a spindle 1, a first process of setting feed amount per rotation of the spindle 1 of the cutting tool 5 and a second process of performing processing while feeding the cutting tool 5 to the axial direction by the feed amount are performed, so as to prevent the current turning range by the cutting tool 5 from overlapping with the turning trace before one rotation. In performing turning processing again with respect to the workpiece 4 turning surface after the second process, the spindle rotating speed in the second process is avoided, and spindle rotating speed in this turning process is set.
