<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily find jammed paper in a fixing unit in an image forming apparatus with a fixed cover covering the fixing unit. <P>SOLUTION: When jamming occurs, a front surface cover covering the front surface side of the image forming apparatus is opened. Linked with this opening action, a lever 84 is swung from a first position to a direction of arrow b and arranged in a second position D2. Thus, a cam member 86 is arranged in an acting position E2 through a shaft 85 which is integral with the lever 84 and the fixed cover 81 is opened to an opened position C2 through a cam follower 83. Therefore, a gap G is formed and seeing inside of the fixing unit and removing of the jammed paper can be carried out from the gap G. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
