PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroacoustic transducer which obtains a high-voltage audio signal and a capacitor headphone which is driven by the electroacoustic transducer. SOLUTION: The electroacoustic transducer 10 includes a super magnetostrictive member 2, a first piezoelectric element 4 and a second piezoelectric element 5 which are disposed at end portions of the super magnetostrictive member 2, a support member 1 which clamps the first piezoelectric element, super magnetostrictive member, and second piezoelectric element in series, and a magnetic field generating unit 3 which is disposed at a circumference of the super magnetostrictive member 2 and generates a magnetic field in a direction along the displacement direction of the super magnetostrictive member 2 according to the audio signal. The first piezoelectric element 4 and second piezoelectric element 5 are disposed having their polarities opposed to each other, and both end portions of the first piezoelectric element 4 or second piezoelectric element 5 are output portions 11 and 12. The output portions 11 and 12 are connected to fixed electrodes 22 and 23 of a capacitor type headphone unit having a diaphragm 21 and the fixed electrodes 22 and 23 opposed thereto to obtain capacitor headphones 20.
