摘要

A display (A) includes a light source unit (1) for irradiating a planar region, and a plurality of filter elements arranged in matrix. Each filter element passes through light having a wavelength within a specified range out of light emitted from the light source unit (1). The light source unit (1) is provided with a plurality of semiconductor light emitting devices (2) arranged in matrix on a common substrate. Each semiconductor light emitting device (2) emits white light including three wavelength peaks belonging to a blue region, a green region and a red region, respectively.
