<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for judging whether or not a protruding section can be connected to one page, and for connecting the protruding section to one page. <P>SOLUTION: The content of a logical page to be printed is assigned to one more physical pages, and the print data of every physical page are generated based on the content assigned to the physical pages, and when one logical page is assigned to a plurality of physical pages, whether or not a white paper rate as the rate of a white paper region occupying each physical page exceeds a predetermined threshold is decided, and whether to interrupt the generation of print data is judged based on the presence/absence of the continuity of the content of the physical page whose white paper rate exceeds the threshold with the previous physical page and the characteristics of arrangement of the region which is not the white paper section of the physical page, and when it is decided that the generation of the print data is interrupted, the content of the physical page and the content of the previous physical page are reassigned to a single physical page so that a connection layout can be determined, and connection print data corresponding to the connection layout are generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
