<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of maintaining a rotational speed of a rotary polygon mirror, and capable of preventing a print speed from getting low, even when outputting an image mixed with a monochromatic image and a color image. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device A is provided with: a laser head 300 for deflection-scanning a laser beam modulated based on an image data, by the rotary polygon mirror 303a provided with a plurality of light deflection faces; a photoreceptor 310 rotated at a set process speed and exposed along a main scanning direction and a sub-scanning direction with the laser beam; and a process speed switching part 82 for switching the process speed, based on which the image data are color data or monochromatic data. The image forming device A is provided further with an image magnification regulating part 21 for correcting the image data in response to the process speed, and for regulating a sub-scanning-directional magnification, while holding the rotational speed of the rotary polygon mirror 303a at constant, irrespective of the process speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
