<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which obtains a more exact adhesive amount by correcting reflected light output from a pattern used when calculating the adhesive amount by estimating reflection output from an image carrier covered with the pattern, and also to provide a control method, a control program, and a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: An exact adhesive amount is detected by reading regularly reflected light output on a transfer belt 13 in an area separate from the front end of the pattern 14 by a length L that is a half of the spot diameter of a light emitting element before the pattern 14 reaches a reading object position by a sensor 5, or longer, making reflectance from the transfer belt 13 in a part covered with the pattern 14 approximate to reflectance from the image carrier in an area outside the pattern in front of the pattern 14, and exactly obtaining the rate of the reflectance of the pattern to the transfer belt 13 (image carrier). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
