<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of displaying emergency information in language desired by a user without any complicated operation. <P>SOLUTION: A television (display device) 1 has: a tuner unit 2 receiving video information on television broadcasting and an EAS message 30; a display section 4 for displaying the video information on television broadcasting received by the tuner unit 2 and emergency information; a setting screen 4a selecting a desired language from a plurality of languages for setting; and a control section 6 for performing control so that the received EAS message 30 is displayed using a prescribed language preset on the setting screen 4a when the EAS message 30 is received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
