<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional rotary atomization head requires much time for cleaning a deposited coating material to make the cleaning work complicated, and that increasing the discharge amount of a coating material from a rotary atomization head causes the diameter of the liquid stringy coating material to be discharged and raises the possibility of affecting the quality of a coated article. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary atomization head 1 has an inner peripheral surface 2 increasing the diameter from the bottom 21 to the tip side, and atomizes a coating material to discharge by applying a centrifugal force by rotation to the coating material supplied to the bottom of the inner peripheral surface. The bottom of the inner peripheral surface has a coating material supply nozzle 11 for supplying the coating material and a cleaning liquid. This coating material supply nozzle has a nozzle hole 10a for discharging the coating material and cleaning liquid from the rotation center O part of the rotary atomization head in the direction roughly orthogonal to the rotation axis of the rotary atomization head, and a dam part 4, in the middle part of the bottom and the tip part on the inner peripheral surface, for banking the coating material and cleaning liquid supplied from the coating material supply nozzle to the bottom and flowing to the tip side along the inner peripheral surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
