<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a translucent thin film solar battery with a gradation in translucency. <P>SOLUTION: The translucent thin film solar battery is manufactured with the method for manufacturing the translucent thin film solar battery which has appearance with the gradation in translucency, includes: transparent conductive films; one or more semiconductor photoelectric conversion layers composed of an amorphous and/or crystalline silicon system semiconductor; and rear surface electrode layers, which are sequentially laminated on a translucent insulating substrate, includes translucent opening grooves or holes penetrating the photoelectric conversion layers and the rear surface electrode layers, and continuously changes in transmittance in a direction in parallel with the substrate surface of the translucent insulating substrate. The method includes a process for forming the translucent opening grooves or holes by laser scribing. In the process, a distance between the scribing position of a laser beam to be irradiated to the precursor of the translucent thin film solar battery and the focal point of the laser beam is continuously changed as a whole in the prescribed direction of the precursor of the translucent thin film solar battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
