The device has a pivoting and sliding mechanism provided with a translation unit (3) and a lifting unit (5). A fixed part (4) and a lifting cylinder (6) of the units fixed with respect to translation are pivotably supported at distance to each other in a holder (1). An expandable element (13) of the unit (3) receives an object at its rear side and performs translation towards height of the object. Storage of the unit (3) is guided in a circular arc extending along the holder. The lifting unit is fastened with the cylinder at a free end of the part (4) of the unit (3) in a movable manner.
