<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of generating power, using a simple constitution by effectively utilizing supplied gas. <P>SOLUTION: A gas diffusion layer 102 and a porous body layer 20 are stacked on a membrane electrode assembly 100, wherein the edge of the membrane electrode assembly 100 is exposed and a gasket 110 and then a frame 22 are attached to the exposed section. The frame 22 are attached, spaced apart from the end faces of the gas diffusion layer 102 and the porous body layer 20. A separator 50 is laid on the frame 22 and the porous body layer 20, thereby forming a space 24. The space 24 extends along the end face of the porous body layer 20 and at its end connects to a gas passage provided with the frame 22. By making hydrogen flow from the gas passage to the space 24, the hydrogen is supplied into the porous body layer 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
