<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass run channel assembly for a vehicle door and a window plate assembling structure capable of easily inserting a window plate to the inside of the door body by passing it through a window opening and performing assembly in such a state that a glass run channel assembly is attached. <P>SOLUTION: On the outdoor side side wall part 38 (58) of one side part side glass run channel 44 of the glass run channel assembly 30, In the attachment state of the glass run channel assembly 30, a notch part 60 for allowing passing of one side edge part of the window plate 18 when the window plate 18 is passed through the window opening 12 and is inserted to the inside of the door body 11 to perform assembling is formed.
