<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to listen to dialogue, vocal and narration with greater clarity even in the case of small volume of tone. <P>SOLUTION: A loudness detector 3 multiplies an entire signal (Lall+Rall) obtained by addition of L and R signals by a multiplier coefficient α of a multiplier, that is reproduction volume level data of an audio amplifier, to find a loudness S of a multiplying result that is a reproduction volume =α×(Lall+Rall). Output level calculators 4L, 4M, 4H for bands L, M, H, respectively, increase a level of a band of human's voice and decrease levels of lower and higher bands than it to change a curve of a loudness chart so as not to change the loudness S, and calculate output levels for the respective bands from the changed curve of the loudness chart. Gain calculators 5L, 5M, 5H divide output levels for the respective bands L, M, H by the multiplier coefficient α and the input levels for the bands L, M, H, respectively, to obtain a gain for each of the bands L, M, H. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
