<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress illegal reproduction of privilege, by preventing illegal use of the privilege (coupon) given to a user of a system for providing commodity information. <P>SOLUTION: A commodity information management server 10 receives retrieval request information, retrieves commodity information and advertisement information using a presented in-store code, decides and gives a point value based on the retrieved advertisement, and provides a retrieval result screen including the commodity information and the advertisement information. In addition, the server receives an issue request for a coupon, decides the issue count of coupons according to the given point value, and coupon identification codes for the issue count of coupons, registers coupon management information and transmits coupon issue instruction information including the issue count of coupons and the coupon identification code.
