PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance information reproducing device and a high performance information reproducing method. SOLUTION: The device comprises: a memory B120; a decoder B150; an intermediate memory B140 disposed between the memory B120 and the decoder B150 that continuously stores data supplied from the memory B120 temporarily, and outputs the data to the decoder B150; a switching means B130 for switching the output of the memory B120 between the output to the decoder B150 and the output to the intermediate memory B140; a memory managing means B180 for managing placement information of the data stored in the memory S120; a judging means B181 for judging whether or not the data stored in the memory S120 is placed in the physically divided memory region; and a switching control means B191 for switching the switching means B130 so that the output data from the memory S120 is inputted to the decoder B150 through the intermediate memory B140 when the judging means B181 has judged that the data is placed in the physically divided memory region.
