PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a production cost of an apparatus provided with an appearance variable function. SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 accommodates a liquid crystal display panel 2 in its case body 3. A front surface panel part 3a of the case body 3 is provided with a front surface panel substrate 5, an electronics paper 6 and a cover 7 that favorably transmits visible light. The electronics paper 6 is provided with an embossing film on which a plurality of convex parts are formed on one side and the same number of concave parts as the convex parts are formed on the other surface by deforming a display element formation target place of a resin film, a base film with a flat surface shape which is adhered to the other side of the embossing film, air bubble type cells which are formed by the concave part being clogged by the base film and a display element sheet having at least one or more kinds of display media which is sealed in the air bubble type cells. The color tones and patterns of the front surface panel part 3a can be changed by changing the appearance of the display media by each cell by applying an electric field cell to this display element sheet.
