PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing high-quality carbon black in high efficiency. SOLUTION: The method comprises: the step (S1) of preparing slurry by mixing a solvent and coal together; the step (S2) of conducting an extraction treatment by heating the slurry obtained by the step (S1); the step (S3) of separating the slurry obtained by the step (S2) into an extraction coal solution and a non-extraction coal concentrate; and the step (S4) of feeding the extraction coal solution obtained by the separation step (S3) into a reaction furnace to produce the objective carbon black by pyrolysis.
