PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CMC-restoring agent which can restore CMC (Cell Membrane Complex) of hair, is excellent in a hair-protecting effect and its sustainability, and can impart moist touch, softness and smoothness to the hair, and to provide a method for restoring the CMC. SOLUTION: This CMC-restoring agent is characterized by containing an amino acid derivative such as N-lauroyl-L-glutamic acid-lysine condensate Na salt.
