PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting uniformity of a magnetic field of a magnet apparatus which easily makes a magnetic field of a magnet apparatus uniform. SOLUTION: The method for adjusting uniformity of a magnetic field is used for a magnet apparatus 1 that generates a magnetic field within a cylindrical container 100 and has correcting iron shims arranged at a plurality of predetermined positions for correcting a uniformity of a magnetic field of an ambient temperature space 3 within the cylindrical container. The method comprises a preceding step in which a change amount of the iron shims are determined with respect to all positions 7 so as to make the uniformity of the magnetic field of the ambient temperature space 3 to a desired uniformity and a succeeding step carried out after the desired uniformity is obtained in the preceding step in which a predetermined black circle positions 11 are selected from the positions 7 and change amount of the iron shims are determined with respect to the predetermined black circle positions 11 so as to make the uniformity of a magnetic field of a predetermined region to a predetermined uniformity.
