The invention relates to an internal combustion engine system (1), especially for use in a motor vehicle, which comprises an internal combustion engine (2), a charge air system (3) for supplying charge air to the internal combustion engine (2), an exhaust gas system (4) for discharging exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine (2) and an exhaust gas recirculation system (5) for removing exhaust gas from the exhaust gas system (4) and for passing the exhaust gas into the charge air system (3) in an inlet point (12).
